This article reviews the core principles underpinning the global navigation satellite system (GNSS). It references some of the key terminology, outlines the main potential sources of error, and describes how the application of RTK DGPS techniques can mitigate these errors to a large extent.
Usually when people say that a topic is confusing when I think it’s not, the reason is that there’s actually some hidden complexity that I wasn’t considering. And after some follow up conversations, it turned out that HEAD actually was a bit more complicated than I’d appreciated!

Service Objects are a popular software design pattern in the Ruby on Rails community. They are used to extract procedural logic away from models and controllers and into their own objects.
For those of you learning C or C++, this article is a great and detailed tutorial. Also useful if you are studying operating systems.
An interesting walk down history lane… of computers
Classes teach you all about advanced topics within CS, from operating systems to machine learning, but there’s one critical subject that’s rarely covered, and is instead left to students to figure out on their own: proficiency with their tools. We’ll teach you how to master the command-line, use a powerful text editor, use fancy features of version control systems, and much more!
One of many simple CPU simulators. I'm teaching a course in Operating Systems and I've been looking for a really simple and clear visual simulator for a CPU. This one is the best one yet. But I would like a better one. This one is missing any kind of support for IO or System calls or something like that. But it's usable.
This seems like a very nice simple tool to solve a common problem. My only confusion is that there are a bunch of similar tools to do the same thing. Each has its own DSL, written in ruby or some other language, has its own conceptual steucture, and its own bugs. It’s enough to make me decide to just keep doing it by hand. Heres what the author says: “ Prepper is a simple server provisioning tool, built on top of SSHKit. You can use it to script your server build process. - GitHub - gregmolnar/prepper: Prepper is a simple server provisioning tool...”
An interesting idea, model based testing. The aurhor says: “Again, I’m writing about models because I have a deep desire to keep software minimal. While I don’t think it’s wrong to simply buckle up and deal with the complexity and raw magnitude of implementations as many of us do, that’s just not the path that I find appealing intuitively.”
From the readme, this is a promising tool for automating deploymeny of apps to s cloud server. Perhaps one more option post Heroku. They dont mention ruby and rails but imply its covered.
This is pretty crazy/amazing (to geeks, i guess). I heard a podcast with the author and he convinced me. Looking at the readme, I am confused/impressed. Author: “the unified package manager (brew2). Contribute to teaxyz/cli development by creating an account on GitHub.”

Pose estimation is of great importance in many computer vision applications: robot navigation, augmented reality, and many more. This process is based on finding correspondences between points in the real environment and their 2d image projection. This is usually a difficult step, and thus it is common to use synthetic or fiducial markers to make it easier.

Deskreen Deskreen is a desktop app that turns any device with a web browser into a secondary screen for your computer over WiFi. Deskreen can be used to mirror entire computer display onto any device screen that has a web browser. Also you can limit Deskreen to select only one application window view to share – very useful for presentation purposes. The best feature of Deskreen is to use any device as a secondary screen. To have a true extended desktop experience Deskreen should be used with Virtual Display Adapter. Also with no need for Virtual Display Adapter you can have a teleprompter with Deskreen using your tablet or smartphone, for that Deskreen has Flip Screen Mode that mirrors computer screen in web browser of your tablet (aka. flip screen horizontally). Merging data from multiple LIDAR(s) in ROS Light radars or LIDARs are used in robotics, drone engineering, IoT etc. for a wide range of applications. A typical lidar uses ultraviolet, visible, or near infrared light to image objects. It can target a wide range of materials, including non-metallic objects, rocks, rain, chemical compounds, aerosols, clouds and even single molecules. They are used extensively in building autonomous systems such navigation, detection, task actuation etc.

[Solved] Tutorial: GPIO/I2C/SPI-access without root-permissions A great solution to a very specific problem I have been having! –> As you may have noticed, by default you do not have access to the GPIO-pins, the SPI-bus or the I2C-bus as a normal user and you have to use ‘sudo’ to access them or run an application that utilizes them; it is generally a good idea to limit access to such things for security, but on a dev-board like the UP and UP^2 it may be convenient to do development and testing as a regular user. Hi there! This webpage covers the space and time Big-O complexities of common algorithms used in Computer Science. When preparing for technical interviews in the past, I found myself spending hours crawling the internet putting together the best, average, and worst case complexities for search and sorting algorithms so that I wouldn't be stumped when asked about them. Over the last few years, I've interviewed at several Silicon Valley startups, and also some bigger companies, like Yahoo, eBay, LinkedIn, and Google, and each time that I prepared for an interview, I thought to msyelf "Why oh why hasn't someone created a nice Big-O cheat sheet?". So, to save all of you fine folks a ton of time, I went ahead and created one. Enjoy!
